Death Occurred at Home in Indianapolis-Mrs. Roell Also Seriously Ill
Anthony Roell, a very well known man to residents in the eastern part of Shelby county, died at his home 1402 Leonard street, Indianapolis, Friday morning at 4:30 o'clock, from influenzal phenmonia following an illness lasting one week during which he was critically ill. He was aged thirty-one years and was born at Morris, Ind.
He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Roell, of Morris, Ind. He marriage to Miss Frances Zobel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zobel, east of this city, occurred eight years ago last September at the St. Vincent Catholic Church. They have always resided in Indianapolis. Besides the widow, who is also critically ill with influenza, he leaves two children, Florence, age six years, and Louis, aged three months. There are also his step-mother, Mrs. Philamena Roell, and his sisters, Miss Frances Roell, of Morris, and six brothers, namely, Father Frank Roell, pastor of the St. Andrews Catholic Church at Richmond, and Ted Roell, also of Richmond; Al Roell, of Batesville; Henry, John and Peter Roell, of Indianapolis.
Mr. Roell was a very industrious young man with many friends and his death is a great shock to his friends and relatives. He was a member of the St. Patrick's church at Indianapolis. Funeral arrangements had not been completed late this afternoon. (Obit: The Shelbyville Democrat, Dec. 28, 1918)
