When Johanna married Otto, she was living at Skallagård. Her birth place is recorded as Malmbeck, but I'm not sure where that is. There is a Malmbäck, Nässjö parish, Jönköpings län, but I suspect she came from Nöbbele parish in Kronobergs län instead.
At the time of her death, according to Earl Leaf's research, Victor and Josephine were living in Minneapolis, Ida Hallstrom in Braham, Mary in Fort Missoula, Montana, Clara Reynolds and Anna were in Spokane, Washington.

Mrs. Johanna Anderson wife of Otto Anderson, one of our old and respected citizens here, passed away peacefully early last Saturday morning, Aug 28 St the Bethesda Hospital in St Paul.
Mrs. Anderson was born at Malmbeck, Sweden on Oct 4, 1838 so she had reached the age of 84 years. Mrs. Anderson was married in 1858 and came to Chisago County from Sweden in 1869 with her 3 children to join her husband who had preceded her here where they farmed in the Town of Franconia, opposite Osceola where they lived until about 17 years ago, when they moved to their present home near Lindstrom.
During her whole life she was hardly ever sick until last May when she fell and fractured her hip, which made it necessary for hospital care. However, the immediate cause of her death was heart trouble.
Mrs. Anderson was the mother of ten children, seven of whom are living, they are August J Anderson, Lindstrom, Victor C and Josephine of Minneapolis, Mrs. Herman Hallstrom of Braham, Mrs. John Taylor of Ft Missoula, Mont, Mrs. David Reynolds and Miss Anna Anderson of Spokane, Washington and her aged husband, Otto Anderson of the Old People's Home in Chisago City. She leaves 18 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Anderson have lived a happy married life for 62 long years and have shared the trials and hardships of early pioneer life on this vicinity. Mrs. Andersons whole life and been one of toil and struggle in assisting her husband in making a home in the wilderness. Through it all she had proved to be a faithful and loyal mother, who's many sacrifices and tender heartedness will never be forgotten by those who were near and dear to her.
The funeral was held at the Swedish Lutheran Chapel in Center City on Monday afternoon, August 30, Mrs. Anderson having been a member since her arrival in America. Rev Oscar Sandahl officiating.
The deceased was always of a happy and cheerful disposition, although her first years in Chisago County were replete with hard struggles for subsistence with a large family to care for.
The Press wishes to express its respectful sympathy to the bereaved.
