Mrs. Pearl A. Fischer, 69, R. R. 1, Waldron, widely known resident of Liberty Township, died Thursday at 3:25 p.m. in Robert Long Hospital in Indianapolis, where she had been a patient since July 1. She had been in falling health since suffering a fractured hip in May.
Mrs. Fischer was a member of St. Vincent Catholic Church, St. Ann's Altar Society and the 49'ers Extension Homemakers Club.
Born July 15, 1899, in Shelby Township, the daughter of Conrad and Mary (Thibo) Braunagel, she was married to John H. Fischer Sr. on Feb 14, 1917 and he survives.
Other survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Mary C. Mammoser, Chicago, Mrs. Berneice E. McClintock, Anderson, and Mrs. Lois F. Durbin, Rushville; two sons, John H. Fischer Jr. Shelby Township and Raymond E. Fischer, R. R. 1, Waldron; two brothers, Ed Braunagel, Shelbyville, R. R. and Charles Braunagel, R. R. 6, Shelbyville, and two sisters, Mrs. Grace Brown, Indianapolis, and Mrs. Frances Headlee, Shelbyville. Seven grandchildren also survive. One daughter, Mildred Jane, died in infancy.
Services will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Vincent Church, with the Rev. Anthony Seger officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Carmony Funeral Home in St. Paul after 1:00 p.m. Sunday. The Rosary will be recited there at 8:00 p.m. Sunday. (Obit: The Shelbyville News, Oct. 11, 1968)
