DEATH OF I.B. DARTON
Isaac B. Darton who was operated upon for appendicitis on Thursday of last week died at the Holy Cross Hospital at 10:30 o'clock the following night. The remains were shipped to Provo for burial and the funeral services were conducted from the 1st Ward Church in that city on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Bishop Berg officiating. John Foote, a life long friend of the deceased, delivered a beautiful eulogy and the musical numbers were by the choir.
The interment took place in the city cemetery at Provo and the pall bearers were George Owens, Dan Ostrander, Frank Briskey, Frank Garrity, Sam Hooper and James Gatley.
Isaac B. Darton was born 43 years ago at Nephi where he spent his early life. Later the family moved to Provo and about eleven years ago the deceased came to Eureka and ever since that time has made his home here. He was an honest, upright citizen and his death coming so suddenly was a great shock to his relatives and friends. Mr. Darton conducted a barber shop in Eureka for several years and during the past few years he has been employed at Garrity's barber shop. He was a good musician and aside from being a member of the Darton orchestra he was always ready to give his services wherever they were needed at social events, lodge entertainments, etc. Being of a pleasing disposition he made friends rapidly, and the sincere sympathy of these friends go out to the wife, mother, brother, and other relatives of the deceased.
