He united with the Christian Church at seventeen years of age and lived this life till his death on Saturday, March 15, 1930.
He moved to Marion County, Kansas in 1871, where he homesteaded afterward moving to Seward County in 1906.
Aside from the named above there are twenty grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren and a host of friends.
Mr. Palmer served as a public school teacher during his earlier years. He was a good thinker and well read man of his day. He searched the scriptures daily and possessed strong faith and Christian zeal. He was identified with the Christian Church of this community and was highly honored by that brotherhood. Funeral services were conducted in the Christian Church Monday afternoon by Rev. J.N. Gibble. The body was taken to Marion County, Kansas for burial. The Miller Mortuary was in charge.
