Tobias Bitz was born in Somogydorocske (aka Dorocske), Somogy, Hungary. He was the son of Johann Georg Ruppert and Anna Margarete Bitz. On 14 January 1939, Tobias Bitz was buried at the Baldwin Cemetery in Steelton, Dauphin County, Pennyslvania. In about 1941, his remains were moved to Churchville Cemetery.
