Lois Nicolet

Lois A. Nicolet, 76, of Eau Claire, died Friday, July 6, 2001, at Severson Lutheran Home. She was born in Eau Claire on September 2, 1924, the daughter of Oscar and Anna (Scheel) Olson. Lois married Louis F. Nicolet on May 23, 1944 in Brownsville, Texas. Lois had worked at Montgomery Wards and Deluxe Bakery.
She was a lifetime member of Grace Lutheran Church where she had been a member of Martha Circle. She was a member Eau Claire Chapter 126 order of the Eastern Star.
Lois over the years had knit and crocheted many sweaters, mittens and scarves for family, friends and church charities.
Survivors include her son, Kent (Deborah) Nicolet of Milwaukee; a brother, Aubrey (Annette) Olson of Eau Claire ; three sisters, Irma Cartwright of Minneapolis, Ethel Mae (Don) Jackson of Boise, Idaho, and Verona Foltz of La Vegas; two sisters-in-law, Doris Tyler and Jean Olson, both of Eau Claire, many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis in 1980; her parents; two brothers, Charles and Oscar, Jr. Olson; and a sister, June Olson.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2001, at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Rolf A. Nestingen officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to service Monday at the church. Lenmark-Gomsrud-Lin Funeral Home is serving the family.
