William Goble Perkins, son of the late Stephen [Virgil] Allen & Mattie Loyall Perkins, died at 5:30 a.m. Friday, May 27, [1966] at his home in the Bengal Community in Taylor County. He was 66 years old. He was married to Miss Ivy Milby in 1925, who survives. Also surviving are 6 sons: James, Allen, William Thomas, Everett, Robert and Donald Perkins all of Campbellsville; 7 daughters: Mrs. Albert Brockman, Mrs. Herbie Underwood, Mrs. Everett Allen and Miss Zelda Perkins, all of Campbellsville, Mrs. Ray Murphy, Louisville, Mrs. Monroe Dotson, Mt. Sherman and Mrs. Elmer Allen of Indianapolis, IN. Mr. Perkins is also survived by: 1 sister, Mrs. Kate Tracenridder of Louisville and 24 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 28, at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery with Rev. J.V. Mullins officiating. Pallbearers were Marshall Underwood, James William Milby, Gene Underwood, Tom Underwood, Virgil Milby and Kenneth Thompson.
