MRS. MARY ANDERSON

Mrs. Mary Magdalene Anderson, 71, died at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames Tuesday. She had been a patient there since Saturday.

Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 15 at the Calvary United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ellis Andrews officiating and with burial in the Hardin Township Cemetery, southwest of Stratford. Friends may call at the Hanson-Stark-Welin Funeral Home in Stratford Thursday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday from 9 a.m. until noon, when the body will be taken to the church.

Survivors include one son, George M. Anderson of Laurens; two daughters, Letty Mae Lortz of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Mrs. Dalton (Ramona) Fisher of Stratford; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Henry Sease; one sister, Cornelia Reberry, both of Jefferson.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son and her parents.

She was born June 8, 1901 at Scranton, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel (Lettie May Goodrich) Sease. On Feb. 20, 1926, she was married to George Anderson at Scranton.

She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church, and the Senior Citizens Club of Stratford.

Mrs. Mary Anderson Died Tuesday At Ames Hospital

Mrs. George (Mary Magdalene) Anderson, 71, Stratford, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, at the Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames, where she had been a patient since Dec. 9.

She was born June 8, 1901 in Scranton, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Sease. On Feb. 20, 1926, she was married to George Anderson of Scranton. They farmed for many years near Stratford. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one son. She was a member of the Stratford Calvary United Church and the Stratford Senior Citizen's Group.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Dalton (Ramona) Fisher, Stratford, and Mrs. Lettie May Lortz, Cheyenne, Wyo., a son, George M. Anderson, Laurens, Iowa, a brother, Henry Sease, Jefferson, a sister, Mrs. Cordelia Reberry, Jefferson, 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
