Kathleen was born in Fayettville, Ark. She was the last of 5 children born to Isaac James and Daisy Vietta Davis. In 1943 Kathleen moved here to California with her parents when she was 12 years old. They settled in Lockeford, Ca. Kathleen meet and married her childhood sweetheart Raymond Brand in 1949. Kathleen always instilled in all her children to love the Lord and respect others, and always to uphold family first. She was active in her church in Woodbridge for many years and taught Sunday School. She left a legacy (her Bible) that had her notes inside that is read often. After losing her beloved husband to cancer in 1983, her life seems to leave her a little each day, by the end of 1999 she was housebound and depended on help. She suffered greatly at the end. The Lord said it was enough and took her home, when no one was around and all was still and quite...that's the way she wanted to go...Thank you Lord for giving us a most wonderful Mother, She taught us so much!

One thing I forgot to mention is that she had a passion for crocheting and spent many many hours sitting crocheting beautiful pieces, while thinking about the next project she was going to make. Her mother taught her this wonderful craft and it has been past down to 5 generations.

Her talents didn't stop just with crocheting, she could cook like no tomorrow.. Her "Hot Rolls" were the talk of the town, not to mention her Biscuits and gravy.
