Brooksville, Fla. - Services for former Ottawan, Merle Jones, 67, who died Tuesday at his home in Brooksville, will be at 4 P.M., Friday here in the Turner Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will follow. Rev. Stanley Johnson will officiate.
A native of Indiana, Jones lived in Ottawa until seven years ago when he moved to Brooksville. He was a retired employee of Cities Service Gas Company.
He is survived by his widow of the home, Mrs. Margaret Jones; two daughters, Mayita (should have read Marita) Pocock, Oklahoma City, and Mrs. June Dodd, Ottawa, and two sisters, Mrs. William Bayliff, Annapolis, Md., and Mrs. Odis Everett, Bartlesville, Okla.
