Lake Odessa, September 26—The funeral of Mrs. Almeda Belcher, 75 years old, who died at her home here in the village Tuesday evening, was held at the Congregational church here today (Thursday).
She has been in ill health for several years, and of late years she and her husband have traveled in several different states that her health might improve.
She leaves the husband, Mr. A. L. Belcher who is one of the very few remaining Civil War veterans left here, and six sons, George Belcher of New Orleans, La., Charles Belcher of Woodstock, Ill., Oliver Belcher of Chicago, Ill., Robert Belcher of Chicago, Ill., William Belcher of Woodstock, Ill., and Harold Belcher who has been with his folks at home for several years.
Rev. George Start officiated. Interment was in Lakeside Cemetery.
