Evelyn M. Cogan, age 82 of Parma passed away Friday, August 12, 2011 at Allegiance Health Care of Jackson. She was born January 23, 1929 in Stockbridge, Michigan to Leo and Lucille (Rogers) Lammers. On December 27, 1950 in Angola, Indiana she married Leroy Austin Cogan who preceded her in death January 9, 1994.

Evelyn was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church of Albion and the Altar Society. She worked as a cashier at Kohl's in Jackson. She retired from Parma IGA in the early 1990's, she enjoyed ceramics and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Evelyn is survived by:

Son- Cliff (Nola) Cogan of Spring Arbor

Daughter- Mary France of Parma

(4) Grandchildren- Thomas France, Valerie (Will) Alexander, Derek (Jessica) Cogan and Brock Cogan
(3) Great Grandchildren- Tre', Aiden and Westin Alexander

Brother- Gerald (Loretta) Lammers of Parma

Sisters- Helen Richards of Parma
Jewel Lammers of Parma

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Paul and Leo Lammers, sisters Josephine Updike, Phyllis Lammers, Barbara Richards and Doris Gifford.

Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, August 15, 2011 from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 6:00-8:00P.M. at J. Kevin Tidd Funeral Home, 208 West Erie Street, Albion, Michigan 49224 with Rosary being recited at 7:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John Catholic Church, 1020 Irwin Avenue, Albion with Father Joe Gray officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Cemetery, Sandstone Township, Michigan.
