BREMEN -- Christopher R. "Chris" Fry, 29, of Bremen, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011, at Community Hospital of Bremen.

He was born Sept. 23, 1981, in Elkhart to Donald E. and Patricia (Cassidy) Fry Jr.

Mr. Fry worked at Smoker Craft in New Paris for 10 years and attended Horizon Ministries Church in Bremen. He loved to work on cars and loved sitting on his porch and talking to his neighbors.

On Jan. 12, 2008, in Otis, he married Katie Coulter, who survives.

Also surviving are his mother, Patricia (Bruce) Allman of Bremen; grandmothers Ruby Fry of Elkhart and June Cassidy of Cromwell; aunt Rebecca Humes of Chandler, Ariz.; great-uncle Lawrence (Gloria) Hein of Goshen; great-aunt Mary Runyon of Elkhart; his father and mother-in-law, Mark Coulter of Wanatah and Terri (David) Coulter-Funkhouser of Westville; stepbrother Robert (Jennifer) Allman Wakarusa; stepsister Amy Allman Elkhart; special friends Doug Sumptor and Donna Marks, both of Bremen; Aunt Char and Uncle Michael Coulter of Westville; and close family, Carol Keel (Earl Keel, deceased) of Westville, John and Jean Coulter of Westville and Judy and Don Bechinski of Hanna.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald E. Fry Jr., and grandfathers Donald E. Fry Sr. and Raymond Cassidy.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011, at Horizon Ministries, 202 N. Center St., Bremen, with Pastor Jim Morse officiating. There will be no visitation, and cremation will take place. Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Road, LaPorte, is caring for the arrangements. There will be a memorial dinner at the home of Michael and Char Coulter following the service at 5334 S. 900 W, Westville, IN 46391.
