Melva O. Gardner
Melva O. Gardner, 76, died Feb. 8 of cancer at a nursing home in Huntington Park, Calif. Graveside services were Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Riverside Cemetery.
Melva was born Oct. 1, 1919, in Oklahoma to Dave and Neoma Harper. They later moved as a family to Montana and she attended schools in Gifford. She later moved to California and married Harold Gardner. She has lived in California since.
She is survived by her husband, Harold; a son, Russell of Arizona; two stepchildren, Judy Deadman and Charles "Pat" Gardner of California; two sisters, Hazel Callison of Loma, Patricia Mastro of California; and a brother, Merle Harper of Nevada.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Jerry, and a brother Howard.
