Singer Heir Married 6th Time, Dies at 45
COOPERSTOWN, N. Y.
Newlywed Alfred Corning Clark
heir to the Singer sewing machine fortune, was
found dead in bed today. He was 45.
An undertaker said
Clark had died in his sleep.
"He was married less than
two weeks ago for the sixth
time,. His bride, a sometime
artist and actress, is Alicia
Darr Purdom, former wife of
actor Edmund Purdom.
