Stephen Adams, 53, 201 East Seventeenth South street, died in a Salt Lake hospital Wednesday at 3:30 a.m. of a heart ailment.

Mr. Adams was born at Cartersville, Missouri, December 2, 1884, a son of John and Mattie Drake Adams. He had been employed in the cleaning and dyeing business for many years, being employed at the Paramount Cleaners and Dyers during the last seven years.

Surviving Mr. Adams are his wife, Nellie May West Adams; a son, Raymond W. Foster of Los Angeles, California; six daughters, Darlene Adams, Mrs. Alice Rumer, Mrs. Ruth Matter and Mrs. Nellie Green of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Doris Rowe of Portland, Oregon, and Mrs. Kate Matter of Bremerton, Washington. There are 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Stephen Adams, husband of Nellie May West Adams, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Wells LDS ward chapel, Bishop Lou Reese officiating. Friends may call at the Gold room in the mortuary, 36 East Seventh South street, until Saturday at 1 p.m. funeral directors, Deseret Mortuary.
