Albert Brown was the oldest survivor of the Bataan Death March. His story is chronicled in the book "Forsaken Heroes of the Pacific War: One Man's True Story."

Due to injuries he sustained in the war, he was unable to return to practicing dentistry.

Due to the damage done to his body from three years in Japan POW camps, a doctor once told him he wouldn't live to 50. He died at age 105.

He was a godson of Buffalo Bill Cody. His parents are Albert and Ida Fonda Brown. Actor Henry Fonda was his cousin.
