Loran "Slim" Roberts was born January 9, 1924 in Denver, Colorado to Will and Ethel Roberts.
His life was filled with adventure and he lived his full and wonderful life with gusto. Whether it was serving his country in the Navy, flying a plane in Iraq, Iran, or India, riding a motorcycle, camel, or elephant, skydiving, or racing a car up Pikes Peak.
Slim was a strong, gentle, loving, giving, and humble man, who was our "Hero" and we have been truly blessed and honored to have him in our lives.
He is survived by Darlene, his bride of thirty-eight years; his daughters, Lori Sugar and Diana (James) Andersen, his son, Steve (Julie) Cornia, his daughter-in-law, Annette, and his little sister, Edytha Lesuer, as well as many wonderful grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and a cousin.
