Stephen John Miller, 78, resident of Jefferson County since 1902, died Saturday in a Rigby rest home after a lingering illness.
He was born Feb. 13, 1880, at West Weber, Utah, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Miller. They came to Idaho in 1902, settling southwest of Rigby. He farmed all his life. He was married Nov. 2, 1910 in the Salt Lake City LDS temple to Cora Ellis. He was active in the LDS church in his younger days. His wife died five years ago.
Since then he has resided with a son or daughter until last November when he was moved to a rest home.
Survivors include a son, Louis Miller, Garfield; a daughter Mrs. Waldo (Eva)Coleman, Terreton; five grandchildren; a brother Joseph Miller, Garfield.
The body is at the Eckersell Funeral Home.
