Mrs. Jeanne F. Witwer, 86, of the Ridgedale Nursing Home, died at 12:10 p.m. Saturday in the nursing home. She was born on March 3, 1896, in Monmouth, Ore., and had lived in South Bend most of her life, coming from Elkhart. On Oct. 27, 1923, she married Chester L. Witwer, who died on Jan. 18, 1978.
Surviving are a son, William L. of Fort Wayne. four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Keasey of Florida. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Broadway Christian parish. There will be no visitation. The Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William, is in charge of arrangements.
