Peter Pletschette, longtime Plymouth county resident, died at the Sacred Heart hospital, Le Mars, on Wednesday night.

Mr. Pletschette was born in Jackson county, Iowa, on July 24, 1871. He came to Plymouth county in 1879. On February 1, 1899. he married Mary Feller at St. Catherine's Catholic church in Oyens. The Pleischette's farmed near Oyens and Le Mars until retiring to Le Mars in 1928. Mrs. Pletschette died in 1943, after which the deceased went to Sioux City to live with his daughtcr and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Miller. He took sick suddenly Sunday and was admitted to the Sacred Heart hospital on Tuesday. Deceased was 83 years of age.

Survivors include 2 sons and 7 daughters. They are: Nick of Oyens, Martin of Cherokee, Mrs. Mike (Clara) Loutsch of Oyens, Mrs. Hubert Jochum and Mrs. Leonard Bindner of Marcus, Mrs. Albert Miller of Sioux City, Mrs. Wm. Bindner and Mrs. Lawrence Pick of Alton and Mrs. lvo Swain of Rochester, Minn. Thirty-nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive.

Besides his wife, 1 daughter, Christine Schuster, and one grand daughter, Mrs. Alphonse Gengler, preceded Mr. Pletschette in death. The body will be at the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home, Le Mars, Thursday and Friday evening. Services will be at 9 o'clock Saturday morning at St. Joseph's Catholic church, Le Mars. Msgr. Joseph D. Fisch will officiate. Burial will be in St. Catherine's cemetery, Oyens. Fisch funeral home, Remsen will be in charge of arrangements.
