Pvt. James H. McCue, 24, U.S.M.C. was killed in action on May 12 in the Pacific war theater according to word received by his wife, Marcella, who resides at 448 South Chicago Avenue. He entered the service in April 1944 and trained at camp Pendelton, Cal. before going overseas in August 1944.

Before entering the marine corps Pvt. McCue was employed at DuPont. He is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse A. McCue, 159 North Prairie Avenue, Bradley. Two children, Jerry and Timmie, reside with their mother. His brother, Sgt. Jesse A. McCue was released recently from a prisoner of war camp and will be home soon.
