St. Albans – Patricia Blubaugh Richardson, 66, a resident of this area since June of 2005, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011, at her home with her family at her side.

She was born in Metuchen, New Jersey on September 27, 1944, the daughter Nancy (Gorham) Blubaugh and the late, Louis V. Blubaugh.

Patricia graduated from the University of Vermont with a Masters of Arts Degree and was employed as a first grade teacher for 30 years in Barre, Vermont, retiring in 2005. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Parish in St. Albans. She enjoyed quilting, travelling, crafting, and collecting "dibbles". Patricia was also a volunteer Coordinator for the American Cancer Society, Franklin County Relay for Life.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, James A. Richardson, of St. Albans; her mother, Nancy Blubaugh of Pittsfield, MA; son, David Richardson of Tucson, AZ; daughters and their husbands, Cathy Richardson Fitzgerald and Roberto of St. Albans and Jen Richardson and Chris Cariaso of Oakland, CA; her grandchildren, Ryan Fitzgerald, Caitlyn Fitzgerald, Nicholas Fitzgerald, Natalie Richardson, C.J. Cariaso and Kage Cariaso; her siblings, John Blubaugh and wife, Diane, of Norwood, PA; Joan Robinson and husband, Scott ,of Lenox, MA and Gail Cowan of San Diego, CA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at 3:00 P.M. in St. Mary's Church on Fairfield Street with the Reverend Brian J. O'Donnell as celebrant. Interment will be in the Vermont Veterans Cemetery in Randolph.
