Polititian. Elected as Delaware's 29th Governor and served from January 19, 1830 to January 15, 1833. Served in the Delaware State Senate from 1834 to 1838. During the War of 1812 was appointed an Ensign in Peter Wright's Company of the 8th Regiment and helped strengthen the defenses of Lewes, Delaware.
