Rev. William Henry Harrison was born July 15, 1809, son of Joseph Harrison, one of the earliest pioneer settlers, died May 20, 1897. He was a minister of the Virginia Conference of the United Brethren Church for 36 years, starting in 1861, Jackson, Mason, Putnam and Wood counties. Son: Dr. B. E. Harrison of Cottageville; daughters, Mrs. Jessie B. Miller and Miss Elizabeth Harrison of Ripley; grandson: Judge Lewis Harrison Miller. ​[from the Betty Kessel McIntyre collection]

Attempting to get all his known children(14) linked to him.

William Henry's first marriage was to Esther Allen in 1828. They had 11 children: John, James, Elizabeth, Joseph, Rachel, Jeremiah, Josiah, Kelly "Kitty", Caroline, William, Virginia . His wife Esther died March 9 1855.

His second marriage was to Mrs. Elizabeth (Rader) Pfost six months later, on Sep 12 1855. She was mother of ten children with Abraham Pfost, who died 1854. William Henry and Elizabeth had combined families of 21 (mostly adult) children. They had a son Benjamin Early "Earl" Harrison together.

His third marriage was to Catherine Harris on Feb 14 1868. Their children were daughters Jessie and Elizabeth Harrison.
