Appointed head of Alcohol Bureau in King County, Washington 1918.

Active in Irish-American causes, Elks Club member, active in Knights of Columbus and other Catholic causes.

He is a descendant of Hugh Morrison, Scots-Irish immigrant (1726). His mother was an Irish immigrant (1839).

1st wife: Clarissa Cordelia Washburn, niece of Cushman Davis (died after childbirth).

Daughter: Edith Alice Morrison (married James J. Fitzpatrick)

2nd wife: Alice Purvis (married 21 Sep 1901, Minnesota)
