Matthew Leslie married Catherine McDonough from Carbondale. They had eight children. Eliza, John,Mary (Mamie),William and Edward (Twins),Ann,Matthew and Cecilia. The twins and Ann did not survive infancy.They lived in a house on Main Street Jermyn with the sign Dolce Domum (Home Sweet Home)which is still on the house.My Grandmother Eliza was born in that house.Matt was in the Livery business on East Side and lived in a house on Hudson Street which was eventually taken over by Eliza Leslie O'Dowd. Matt was active in local politics.
