Jen was born May 12, 1975 in El Paso, Texas. She spent her childhood years in Newport News before relocating with her family to Warrenton, VA. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from NOVA College and was a Registered Nurse with Blue Ridge Hospice.
Jennifer is survived by her best friend, husband, Jeffrey Allen Pingley II, of Bentonville, VA; her parents, Ed and Linda Schroeder of Stanardsville, VA; her maternal grandparents, Bryan W. and Marcelle Harper; brothers, Brian (Paula) Schroeder of Richmond, VA and Jon R. Davis, of Palmyra, VA; sister, Susan (Steve) Hord of El Paso, TX; in-laws, Jeff and Cindy Pingley of Bentonville, VA; and maternal uncle, Bryan W. Harper, Jr. of Malibu, CA. Additional survivors include her paternal aunts, three nephews, three nieces and numerous close friends. Jen will also be deeply missed by her beloved dogs, Thunder and Abby and her trusted cats, Lilly and Delilah.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 15, from 7-9 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home, Front Royal, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home, conducted by The Rev. Kitty Hahn-Campenella. Burial will immediately follow in Bentonville cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jon R. Davis, Brian Schroeder, Luke Pingley, Jimmie Wren, Joey Shipe, and Robbie Boyer.
Honorary pallbearers will be the staff members of Blue Ridge Hospice: Esther Wren, Irene Perez, Diane Hobbs, Betty Allen, Judy Eggelston, Amie Nestor, and Christi Dean.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jen's honor to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 West Cork St., Winchester, VA 22601 or to the Warren County Humane Society, 1245 Progress Dr., Front Royal, VA 22630.
Jen's life was all too short and her journey on earth was brief but she lived each day to its fullest, dedicating herself to her patients, her family and her friends. She was beautiful inside and out. We will miss you our sweet girl and love you forever.
