ABRAMS, Nelson age 67, of Hamilton, died on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Ft Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Climax, Kentucky, the son of the late Marion and Lona (Young) Abrams. In Jellico, Tennessee, on November 17, 1960, Nelson married Jayne Hayes. He was a Tree Trimmer for the City of Hamilton retiring in 1983. Nelson is survived by his wife of over 49 years, Jayne; five children, David Abrams, Diane (Jeff) Newton, Greg (Tracey) Abrams, Scott Abrams and Becky Abrams, all of Hamilton; five grandchildren, Amanda Newton, Joshua Abrams, Justin Newton, Lora Abrams and Cody Jackson; great-grandchild, Hailey DeFevers; five brothers and sisters, Ovie Abrams of Carrolton, Kentucky, Ray (Ann) Abrams, and Donnie (Geraldean) Abrams all of Berea, Kentucky; Wilma (Kevin) Hobson of Salem, Indiana, and Alma Simpson of Madison, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews. Nelson was also preceded in death by his son, Michael Hayes, Jr.; and three brothers, Albert, Glyn and Russell Abrams. Funeral services will be held at Webb Noonan Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South "D" Street, Hamilton, at 10am on Saturday, October 9, 2010, with Rev. James Alexander officiating. Burial will follow at Millville Cemetery. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be given at www.webb-noonan.com
