Kathy Marie Stewart, 50 of Aspel Community, died Saturday July 30, 2011 in a Huntsville Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Stewart will be 3:00pm Tuesday at Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donald Jacobs, Rev. Duaine Griggs and Chaplain Neal Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Rest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 5 until 8 pm.
Kathy is survived by husband Wayne Stewart of Aspel Community, son Gregory Wayne Stewart, Scottsboro; daughter, Stephanie Brooke Stewart, Scottsboro; daughter-in-law, Lori Harper Stewart, Scottsboro; sisters, Linda Dean, and Wanda Webb of Scottsboro, Patricia Daily of Guntersville; brothers, James Williams, Sonny Williams of Scottsboro, and Jerry Williams of Georgia, and J.B. Williams of Pisgah; Carol Guthrie, chemo-buddy of Huntsville, AL; Lilies of the Valley cancer support group; and several nieces and nephews.
Kathy participated in American Cancer Society Ovarian Cancer Research. She was employed by Alacare Home Health for seventeen years and was an Alacare employee for the state in 2010.
