Henry Arnold Peckham, son of Judge Rufus W. Peckham, of the United States Supreme Court, died Saturday night at Hollywood, near Los Angeles, Ca., after an illness covering a period of several years.

Mr. Peckham was born in this city in 1868. He received his early education in the Albany Academy and the Greylock Institute, after which he entered Harvard in the class of 1891. Later he graduated from the Albany Law school and entered the offices of Rosendale & Hessberg.

Mr. Peckham was a strong Democrat, and for a time was very active in politics in this city. In 1899 it became apparent that his health was failing him and he went to Saranac Lake. He spent several years there, after which he went to Colorado Springs. Later he built a home at Hollywood, Cal.

The body will be brought to this city for burial. The funeral party has already left Hollywood on its journey eastward. Judge and Mrs. Peckham are expected to arrive here from Washington tomorrow.

Mr. Peckham is survived by his wife and three children. Mrs. Peckham before her marriage was Miss Catherine Anderson, of Cincinnati. The children are Rufus W., 3d, Henry A. Jr., and Harriet.
