Mrs. Gilmore had taught school in North Carolina, The Philippines, China and South Carolina. She had taught in The Norfolk Public School System from 1945 to 1965. She was a native of Springfield, S.C., and was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Norfolk.
Survivors include a daughter, Deirdre G. Keighly-Peach of Norfolk; a son, Dermod J. P. Gilmore of Gloucester, England; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, April 17, 1995, in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Charles A. Joy. The family will be at 1335 Westover Ave., Norfolk, following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, is handling arrangements.
