Elle was born in Brooklyn, New York, on May 11, 1942. She is survived by her children Catherine Patterson, Edward Burgess, Damian Burgess, and their children.
Elle is also survived by her devoted brother Zo De Muro and his wife Jacqueline of Oakland, California, her loving sister Anne De Muro-Salamone of Poughkeepsie, New York, and their children. Elle is predeceased by her daughter Annette Burgess and brother Patrick De Muro.
She also leaves behind her beloved Marvy and friends too numerous to name.
It was Elle's wish to have her body donated to a medical school to aid in the research of breast cancer prevention and treatment.
