Frederick L. Carter, 57 years old, of 1334 Union street, died yesterday at his home. He was born in Hartford, Conn., on June 7, 1858. Shortly after he was graduated from the Hartford High School he came to New York and was employed by Carter, Macy & Co. of 142 Pearl street, Manhattan, tea importers. he was a nephew of Oliver S. Carter and for thirty years he served the firm in the capacity of financial director. he was well known among brokers and bankers in the financial district. For the past three years he has lived in Brooklyn. He was a member of St. Bartholomew Church. The funeral will take place from his late residence on Monday at 4:30 o'clock. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Helen W. Carter; his son, Fred L. Carter, and his daughter, Helen Isabelle Carter.
