Keith Whatley, age 64, of Bivins, Texas, went to be with the Lord, surrounded by his family and pastor, listening to old hymns on Thursday, August 11, 2011 in Dallas, Texas.
Keith was born February 2, 1947 in Houston, Texas. He was the owner of Whatley Oil and Ranch; and was a member of McLeod Tabernacle. Keith graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from East Texas State University; was an avid fisherman, hunter; and loved to entertain with his whit and remenising with 1964 classmates about Atlanta Rabbit football days. He was preceded in death by his son, Clint Whatley and his parents, O.B. and Mozelle Whatley.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Dianne Whatley of Bivins, Texas; three sons, Brad Whatley and wife Jennifer of Bivins, Texas, Blake Whatley and wife Kaycee of Bivins, Texas and Brady Whatley and wife Bridget of Lewisville, Texas; one brother, Owen B. Whatley and wife Harriet of Bivins, Texas; four grandchildren, Haley Whatley, Tristyn Whatley, John Whatley and Jessica Whatley; and a number of other relatives and close friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, August 14, 2011 at the McLeod Tabernacle under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service with Rev. J.P. Story and Rev. Chris Cowan officiating.
