Albert Jacobs, 73, Gorham, was dead on arrival at Russell City Hospital Sunday morning. He was born July 15, 1905, at Gorham. He was a retired farmer and a lifetime resident of Russell County.
Mr. and Mrs. Jacobs were married Oct. 29, 1928, In Gorham. They celebrated their 50th anniversary In 1978.
Survivors are his wife, Hilarie (Laura), of the home; two sons, Donald of Gorham and James Albert, Lakewood, Colo.; a daughter, Mrs. Rita Matte Peaden, Derby; a brother, Leo of Gorham; six sisters, Mrs. Leo (Alvina) Dreiling of Victoria, Mrs. Mary Isaacson of Salina, Mrs. Blanche Herl and Mrs. Georgina Jacobs, both of Gorham, Mrs. Martha Wellbrock of WaKeeney, and Mrs. Alois (Florence) Yost of Gorham; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were two brothers.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Church at Gorham. Burial will be in the church cemetery at Gorham. A parish rosary will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cline Funeral Home. A Knights of Columbus rosary will be at 8:30 p.m. Friends may call until the hour of service at Cline's Funeral Home.
