OBITUARY
Charles Edwin Coker, 80, Hugo, passed away Friday, March 7, 2008, at Hugo. He was born Dec. 31, 1927, in the Pine Lake Community, north of Hugo, the son of Evert and Dora (Lindsey) Coker. He lived in this community all his life and was a member of the Messer Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Navy.
Charles married Katherine J. Tyler on May 17, 1958, in Clarksville, Texas. Charles owned and operated Coker Trenching Service for many years before his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Reginald Coker in 1953.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Katherine J. Coker of the home; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Darwin and Diana Coker of Alvarado, Texas, Don and Pat Coker of Paige, Texas; one brother-in-law and wife, Bill and Jodi Tyler of Valliant; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and one aunt, Wanda Gary of Tulsa.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2008, at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel, with Mr. Dick Logan officiating. Interment will follow in the Wheelock Cemetery, Millertom, at 11:30 a.m.
