James W. Hanlon Sr., 62, of Marseilles, died Saturday morning, Jan 2, at Hines Veterans Hospital in Chicago.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marseilles. Burial will be in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at Seals-Campbell Chapel in Marseilles with prayers at 7:30.
Mr. Hanlon was born March 7, 1925, in Marseilles, to Edward and Selma (Norem) Hanlon. He married Alice Elaine Woodward of Marseilles in 1945, and she died in 1963. In 1979, he married Jean Lamb Wilson of Marseilles. He served in the Atrmy form 1942-1963 and was employed by the Illinois Department of Corrections for many years.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, his parents and a brother.
