Al Fardy Passes At Sheridan VA Hospital

Aloysius J. Fardy, age 65, died Monday morning at the veterans' hospital in Sheridan, Wyoming, after being in poor health for several years. Mr. Fardy was born in Kiel, Wisconsin, in 1892. The family moved to Idaho from Wisconsin in the early 1900s and in 1910 they came to Chouteau county from Nez Perce, Idaho.

Aloysius (Al) Fardy homesteaded in the Goosebill section in 1912, operating a farm for many years. After retiring from farming he worked about 1950 for the Glacier Park Co. at West Glacier for a year or so, until ill health forced his retirement.

He was a veteran of World War I. He never married. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. J. W. Thompson, of this city, and several nieces. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Fardy, who passed away in 1950.

Funeral services will be held in the Immaculate Conception church in Fort Benton at 9:30 Friday morning, the Rev. Fr. Leo Jonson officiating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.
