The death of Mrs. J. C. Schmidt, prematurely announced last week, took place at her late residence, at Booth Run, at 9 o'clock yesterday morning. In many respects, Mrs. Schmidt was a remarkable woman. For some years past, her husband being an invalid, deceased performed all kinds of labor that usually falls to the lot of man. On Tuesday an attorney was sent for, when the old lady arranged all her business affairs, made her will and gave minute directions as to her funeral. This being done she sank rapidly until her spiirit entered the valley of death.

Died-Schmidt-At Booth's Run, Oct. 10th, Sophia, wife of Major John C. Schmidt, aged 63 years and 7 months. Funeral will take place from the M. E. Church, in this city, Friday, at 1 o'clock p.m.
