Lewis Brooks, age 67, of Sun Prairie, WI, died on Friday, November 30, 1979 in a Madison hospital. He was born on March 15, 1912 in Racine, WI. He was the founder and owner of the Brooks Implement Co. in Sun Prairie. He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Sun Prairie. Survivors include his wife, Elaine; a son, Lewis Robert of Madison; two daughters, Barbara of Madison, Linda of Token Creek, WI; two sisters, Charlotte Williams and Betty Jean Ponders both of El Paso, TX; and two brothers, Robert Brooks of Madison and Edward "Bud" Brooks of Gainesville, GA. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 2 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Sun Prairie at 1 p.m. Pastor Donald Altmann will officiate. There will be a family graveside service on Monday, December 3 at 10:30 a.m. at the Sun Prairie Memory Garden. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to Our Saviors Lutheran Church Building Fund.
