Services for Rayford James Hilburn of Greenville will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Peters Funeral Home with burial in Tidwell Cemetery. Mr. Hilburn died Wednesday in a local nursing home.

He was born Oct. 7, 1892, in Quitman. He married Lillie Bishop on Sept. 9,1964, in Greenville. He was a retired farmer and member of Highland Terrace Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of Greenville; sons William Hilburn of Sulphur Springs and Ray Hilburn of Tyler; daughters Nadine Wilson of San Angelo, Zora Tanton of Greenville, Hazel Culver and Helen Streetman of Fort Worth, Gussie Farish of Winnsboro and Dora Winchester of Sulphur Springs; step-daughters Beatrice Price of Grand Prairie and Gaynell Curtis of Greenville; stepsons Ollie Ledbetter of Waco and Isaac Burns of Greenville; 35 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren; and 16 step-grandchildren and 24 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dollie Hilburn in 1946, and five children.

The family will be at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today and will also be at 3401 Horsely."
