After a courageous battle with illness, Patricia "Miss Pat" Cowart entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 11, 2006. She was born September 23, 1946 in Loudon County, Tennessee, to the late Geneva Miller Shirk and the late William "Dub" Shirk. Pat was a wonderful Christian mother and wife. She was a member of Roopville Road Baptist Church and attended as her health would permit. Pat was a great cook and loved to be with her family. She married her loving husband, Terry Cowart on March 1, 1986. Other than church, her greatest joy was her husband, children and grand children. She was affectionately known as "Miss Pat" to all who knew her. Survivors include her husband, Terry Cowart; her daughters, Debbie Cochran and Sherrell Cowart both of Carrollton, Ga.; her sons and daughter in-law, Duane & Carol Cowart of Hamilton, Tx., and Jimmy Johnson of Lenoir City, TN.; her sisters and brother in laws, Patrina & Freddie Gene Walker, Lisa & Jim Bridges all of Loudon, Tn., and Brenda & Bill Cunningham of Philadephia, TN.; brothers and sister in-laws, Gary & Carol Shirk and Bill & Melissa Shirk all of Loudon, TN.; also her grand children, Jesse & Amber Cochran, Amanda, Kaitlyn, Marissa and Emily Cowart. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 14, 2006 at 11 AM from Roopville Road Baptist Church with Brother Stephen Peeples, Brother Mark Williams and Rev. Steve Swafford officiating. Music will be provided by Bryant Turner. Pall bearers will be Tim Cowart, Virgil Israel, Jimmy Shirey, Richard Stallings, Michael McGuire, Neil Weathington, Josh Eidson, Joel Eidson and Jesse Cochran.
