JOHN GRAN WARREN of Lake Katheryn Estates in Casselberry, FL - He grew up in Cambridge, IL, graduated from Cambridge HS and was a career news reporter and editor, proud of his weekly column "Prairie Trails" which appeared in the Moline, IL Daily Dispatch. John retired from the Orlando Sentinel as a Copy Editor after 40 years in the newspaper business. He was a WWII, U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion. John and Irene took up ballroom dancing in the nineties and competed in dancing events. They were members of Unity Church of Christianity in Orlando and recently celebrated their 70th anniversary. Surviving are his wife, Irene; children, John "Randy" and Robert (Lucille); 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Services will be held on August 13, 2011 at the Baldwin-Fairchild Goldenrod Chapel in Winter Park, FL. Published in the Orlando Sentinel on August 12, 2011
