Edith Lena Mounts, 95, Ottertail, died Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at the Otter Tail Nursing Home, rural Amor.
She was born Nov. 14, 1910, at Ottertail, the daughter of James and Amelia (Burmeister) McLeod. She grew up in the Ottertail area and attended school there. She was married Oct. 9, 1928, to Joe Mounts in Council Bluffs, Iowa. They farmed in the Ottertail area for many years and moved to Henning on Oct. 16, 1981. Joe died Feb. 16,1990. Edith entered the Otter Tail Nursing Home in 2004.
She is survived by her daughters, Marian Danielson, Waconia, and Joanne (Larry) Flom, Henning; sons, Robert (Arlene) Mounts, Elbow Lake, and Raymond "Ole" (Marilyn) Mounts, Ottertail; a sister, Irene Irelan, Red Key, Ind.; brothers, Vernon McLeod, Alexandria, and Donald McLeod, Newport; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Hazel and Ruby; and brothers: Kenneth, Gordon, Clarence and Marvin.
