DENNIS EUGENE BALL, age 77, of Lexington, Kentucky passed away at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.

He was born in Pine Knot, Kentucky on May 11, 1922, the son of Rachel Rollins Ball and Albert Ball. Both parents preceded him in death.

He is survived by his daughters of Lexington; 4 brothers Herman Ball of Cincinnati, Ohio, Bill Ball of Sloans Valley, Kentucky, Virgil Ball of Pine Knot, Kentucky, and Charles Ball of Somerset, Kentucky; his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are 4 brothers Norman, Raymond, Lawrence, and Albert Ball.

He was a retired purchasing agent of General Electric. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II and a member of the Lodge #133 F. & A.M. of Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a graduate of Berea College, a former teacher in Cincinnati, Ohio. He worked for General Electric where he retired in 1986. He was given military honors by American Legion Post #38.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 2, 2000 at 1 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Tommy Barnett officiating. Burial was in Sloans Valley Cemetery.
