Jack was a son of the late Thomas C and Kitty Jenkins Carringer of East Ellijay, GA. Other than his parents, Jack was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Lee Carringer who died soon after her birth, a son, Ricky Carringer of Ellijay, and a brother, Robert Bruce Carringer of Brasstown, NC.
Jack's wife, Doreen Dills Carringer, and his children Dora May, Sheila, and Glenn survive; also surviving are his brothers Ted Carringer of Indiana; Neal Carringer of Brasstown, NC; T.C. and Edgar Carringer of Ellijay; sisters Doris Carringer Byers of Brasstown, NC; Ada Carringer Crisp of Robbinsville, NC; and Clota Jean Carringer Shelton of Ellijay.
Burial was in Yukon Cemetery.
