Bert Brown Adams,79,husband of Lila Leopard Adams of 500 Garlington Rd., died Friday.
Born April 4, 1907 in Westminster, S.C., he was the son of the late Newton J. and Lula Cox Adams and spent most of his life in Greenville.
Before his retirement, he was associated with Southern Worsted, Southern Bleachery, and also Intex Products Inc.
He was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church, the Friendship Bible Class, and the Forever Young Senior Citizens Club.
His first marriage was to the late Stella Vaughn Adams, who died April 8, 1972.
Also surviving are two stepdaughters, Mrs. Ralph (Joyce)Davis of Hendersonville, N.C. and Mrs. Robert(Sherrill)Williams of Raleigh, N.C. Also surviving are six grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Lillie A. Wilson of Greenville, along with two brothers, Paul Adams, and Furman Adams, both of Taylors.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 PM Sunday at Rocky Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Engrum Johnson, Rev. Martin Atkins, and Rev. Roy Gregg. Interment will be held in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The family is at the residence, 500 Garlington Rd. and the body is at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Home where visitation will be held from 6 until 7:30 PM Saturday.
