STANEK, ALEXANDER F., 84, of Brooksville, died Thursday (Feb. 26, 2004) at Oak Hill Hospital in Spring Hill. Born in Stewartsville, Ohio. He came here 20 years ago from Bellaire, Ohio. He was a retired music teacher for the Bellaire County Schools and was a member of the Federal Order of Musicians Union Local 142. He was a member of the Brooksville Golf & Country Club, Wheeling & Hernando symphonies, Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus, and Daystar of Brooksville. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and sang in the choir. Survivors include his wife, Mary R.; two sons, Michael, Brooksville, and Alex John, Roanoke, Va.; three daughters, Rosanna Connors, Pittsburgh, Alecia Hathaway, Martins Ferry, Ohio, and Mary Jo Plute, Bellaire; two sisters, Mary G. Rudish and Sophia Friters, both of Brooksville and 12 grandchildren. Merritt Funeral Home, Brooksville.
